Muntjac Deer - MVCP

Male Muntjac Deer photographed by Martin Palmer near the MVCP boardwalk close to the visitors centre.

I believe this impressive beast is a Birch Sawfly larva (Cimbex femoratus) - about 4.5 cms. On a birch trunk at The Lodge 12/10/12.
